Hedge Maze Design
Hedge mazes are the garden form of the art, with the sheer simplicity of vertical plant barriers with level paths between. Adrian Fisher creates custom designed hedge mazes to suit every environment. Hedge mazes are appearing in an increasingly wide range of visitor destinations, from theme parks such as Disneyland Paris to zoos, botanical gardens, historic houses and private gardens.
Embracing new trends in technology, audiovisual effects, interactive features and enabling the puzzle of the maze to change on a day to day basis all form part of modern innovative hedge maze design pioneered by Adrian Fisher.
Panel Mazes
Panel mazes have two great advantages. They can be built using modular parts in a few weeks, and they are ideal where space is at a premium, since their narrow barriers allow the paths to occupy almost all of the available area - unlike hedge mazes. As with all vertical mazes he designs, Adrian Fisher likes to exploit the third dimension with bridges to create truly three-dimensional puzzle networks.

Water Mazes
Water adds a fourth dimension to maze puzzles. It rises and falls to create a time element that otherwise cannot exist in other types of maze. Adrian Fisher designed the Jersey Water Maze in St Helier in The English Channel Islands in 1997. This circular maze includes 208 fountain jets which rise and fall to create walls of water, so that the maze design is constantly changing as visitors walk through it.
Time itself is the extra dimension as the walls change their configuration from second to second. There are 18 giant foaming pillars rising up to 2.5metrees (8ft) tall, and 190 thinner fountain jets. In the daytime they are wonderfully playful and at night the maze is a stunning dancing show of colour and beautiful arrays of water.
Portable Mazes
The essential maze experience remains compelling whatever mazes are made of. A significant modern development is Quick Mazes where the solving time and physical size are reduced and yet the puzzle 'variety' is dramatically increased. Mazes created on Internet websites and computer software allow players to explore realms that may be physically impossible to construct.
Adrian Fisher's newspaper puzzles such as Navigati, Mazematics, Mandali and numerous others appeal to the growing appetite for puzzles into the 21st century. He has also created puzzles to play with as table top and floor level - Roundabout puzzles, and plastic floor puzzles are part of the Six Minute Maze range, all devised because they can be solved within 6 minutes.
Mosaic & Decorative Paving
Paving mazes create areas of activity acting as a special focus for play and social interaction.
Paving mazes and mosaics built to a high quality are more than a playful experience, they add beauty within the landscape making 'special places' which become loved and memorable experiences.
Adrian Fisher's designs are elegant and apt whether for a children's playground or for an international HQ, on the floor, as a wall mural or up the entire side of a building, such as The Maze Tower in Dubai.
